Zoom-in-Life
The name, Zoom-in-Life, suggests focus on the life of the people of the region, especially of Upper Assam. Being situated in Life Plus campus, the name Zoom-in-Life is intimately connected in both meaning and purpose with the theme of the institution as a whole.
- Zoom-in-Life will lead people to the fullness of life, after proper research for the development of peoples.
- The trainees of Zoom-in-Life will try and capture the inner pulse of the people they are interacting with in their projects.
- Zoom-in-Life will focus on the external for media purposes, but will point to the internal, thus leading to life in its wholeness, in its fullness.
- The studio, Zoom-in-Life, is started in Jorhat in order to focus on the wholeness of life of individuals and of communities, living in the area.
Zoom-In-Life - A Premiere Institute
Zoom-in-Life is the only institute of the kind in North-East India, offering training to students in video and documentary films.
OUR TREASURE CHEST – OUR BACKYARD
- Our regional focus is on Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur
- The studio, Zoom-in-Life, is divinely blessed with a vast number of ethnic communities in its backyard which will become our field of focus and study/research. Our students will do their internship and field studies in these areas.
Each of these ethnic communities has its own cultures, practices, history, traditions, rituals, celebrations, songs, music and dances, instruments, utensils, dresses etc. All these will become the subject of our documentary productions in the future.
Most young people of today are captivated by the idea of You-Tube, and are eager to become you-Tubers, also to earn some income for themselves. This interest of the young people can be explored through Zoom-in-Life.
